How It Works

Format

2-player teams

Double elimination, best of one. Winners are determined by the team's average finish time.

Mode

Co-op Crosskeys

Open, crossworld entrance, keysanity, 7/7 Fast Ganon, no hints, and 100 percent location accessibility.

Race home

All tournament races must be run live on racetime. Async is only for the optional qualifier. Racing rules and allowed glitches follow TARC guidance, and no stream delay is required.

Rules

Tournament Rules

Before the Tournament

Create a racetime account before your first match.
Register on Challonge with your teammate before signups close.
The qualifier async is optional, but VOD links are required if you submit one.
You may stream the qualifier if your title makes it unmistakably clear that it is spoiler content.
After submitting the qualifier, you will get access to the spoiler discussion channel for that seed.

Scheduling Matches

Matchups appear on Challonge and should also be emailed when available.
CoopCrosskeysMouseBot will create a thread in the scheduling channel for each match.
Use the scheduling form or /schedule_match in your thread to set or change a time.
If a race moves by more than 30 minutes, resubmit the schedule so everyone stays synced.
Use /cancel_match in your thread if the current time needs to be cleared.

Race Day

About 25 minutes before race time, the bot will create your raceroom and ping the match thread.
Use the "Roll 2026 Co-op Crosskeys Seed" button in the raceroom.
The seed uses only the opt-in modes both teams have selected.
Join a co-op voice channel with your teammate, get settled, and GLHF.

Co-op Conduct

Communicate with your teammate in a 216 Discord co-op voice channel.
Shared trackers and shared planning documents are allowed.
Do not screen share during the race.
Do not watch any active race stream, including your teammate's stream, until your race is complete.
After your game reaches "The End" in the credits, you may re-enter the seed to help your teammate. In-game fast forward is fine during credits; emulator fast forward is not.

Mode select

Opt-in Modes

all_dungeons

All dungeons are required instead of the normal crystals goal. There are 0bbs.

keydrop

Dungeon pot keys and enemy drop keys join the shuffled small key pool.

mirrorscroll

Start with dungeon-only warp utility, similar to a mirror that does not work in the overworld.

pseudoboots

Dash from the start, but logic still requires real boots for things like bonk rocks and torches.

shopsanity

Progression and other items may be sold in shops.

zelgawoods

Skull Woods joins the zelgawoods shuffle.

How match settings are chosen

Each race uses the settings both teams have in common. If your team opts into all dungeons, mirrorscroll, and zelgawoods, while your opponents opt into mirrorscroll and pseudoboots, that match rolls with mirrorscroll only.

Seed rolling

In Discord, use /mudorarollcrosskeys with autocomplete for pseudoboots, mirrorscroll, and zelgawoods options. On racetime, use !mudorarollcrosskeys or the "Roll Custom Crosskeys" button.

Shared trackers are welcome. Entrando is a known option for co-op play.

We are back, and this tournament is still very much about having fun, racing with a friend, and giving the 216 community another good excuse to make plans together.

Please race clean, be kind to the people scheduling with you, and ask for help when something gets weird. Shared trackers and docs are cool. Cheating is not. The prize is mostly pride, a Discord role, and maybe a podcast victory lap.
